To all my readers, I have become the Pastry Chef at the Centini Restaurant and Lounge in Calgary! But I am still running my cake business so you can be rest assured you will still get the same great products!

Today I received an e-mail, an e-mail replying to my ad on kijiji "Pastry Chef looking for Full-Time work".
The owner of Centini had requested I give him a call for an interview. I called and we booked an interview for 2:30pm today. I was so excited and nervous I couldn't stop my hands from shaking. I have been "unemployed" for awhile now due to my wedding/ not finding the right job that would fit the hours that I would like to work.
So needless to say I was very nervous for this interview. I was praying that this was the job for me, that the hours and pay would be what I wanted and needed.
So Centini is located on 8th Ave. It is an Italian restaurant and features classic Italian desserts!
I went in for the interview and it was a very good interview, Fabio (the Owner) and I discussed what we were both looking for and it was just such a perfect match for the both of us!
He had actually just posted up an ad this morning for a Pastry Chef on kijiji but decided to take a look to see if there were any Pastry Chefs needing work....ME!
I have been looking for a job non-stop since Tony and I got back from our Honeymoon, and it has been so difficult. There are not very many pastry jobs available, it is very slim to none out there in the Pastry industry. As well as very few ads on kiijiji and other job search sites. I doubted that I would be able to work in this industry so I started to apply to receptionist jobs! Something that I probably would have loathed because there is no creative process involved.
So I was offered the job right then and there! I get the wage I asked for which is amazing! I basically get the whole back kitchen which is the dish pit and my large pastry station. It is the biggest station that I have ever seen for pastry! I am so grateful for this opportunity! And I am so excited! I start tomorrow!
