More time for you!

I am blogging to let you know that I am no longer working at Centini Restaurant. Yes I know, as sad as it is I have decided this due to the fact that I am getting more and busier with my business, offering you my cliental cake decorating classes and sweets! I had no time to sit down and relax and it was really wearing me down to the point where it was exhausting. So unfortunately when you go to Centini's I will not be there. But on the bright side I will be able to offer you 100% of my time and ability! I am very excited to focus 100% of my time to this business. I am also very excited to start my very first line of goodies and treats that you can order on-line! I will be making a different page on my website dedicated to these lines of treats! So these lines of Christmas goodies are going to feature things such as: Loaf cakes (they are amazing) in flavors like: Orange Clove, Lime, and Gingerbread. Cupcakes in all Christmas flavors. Unfortunately there will be no fruitcake as it is not good tasting (in my opinion)!!!!! I will also offer cute cookies in gingerbread or sugar cookie flavors! I will offer much much more so come back in about 3 week’s time and it will be up!Another exciting thing that is happening is I am going to be professionally photographed by Andrew and Andrew McCollum (www.aamccollum.com/photography) so look out for those pictures appearing on the website. They will be taking pictures of my new Christmas line which I am very very excited to start!I have decided to start doing lines of goodies because of the failed attempts to market gourmet treats at craft fairs from last year. I have made up my mind that the craft fairs are just not ready for gourmet treats and sweets! I have found that from personal experience and from another small baking business that started up by a few of my class mates at SAIT. And to be honest sometimes it’s just not worth the time for bake sales and craft fairs... You really don't know how much you will sell or not sell and with perishables it’s not worth the time or money... so if you bake skip the craft fairs! You will not make any money!Lately the Weather in Calgary has been less then favorable... but we are in October and we should expect some snow and cold... but it is really frustrating when it goes back and forth from fall to winter in a matter of hours!!!! Nonetheless I am so excited for Christmas! I have already begun to start thinking of ideas of how to decorate my house with everything that has to do with Christmas! Very Very excited! I have also already made homemade ornaments... I found a Martha Stewart magazine from a few years ago in my pile of Christmas magazines and it has a recipe for cinnamon cutout ornaments. The recipe was supposed to be made for cut out birds but you can cut anything out of the cinnamon, glue and applesauce dough......so I made pine trees, snowflakes, stockings, and much more. I also got a little creative and started to glue gun diamonds and pearls and such things onto them. They are very vintage pretty looking! I might even have to start selling them on here along with some art pieces... why not diversify my portfolio?? It means more creative things for you to look at and purchase! (Great Christmas Gifts!!!!)So if you don’t want to bake for your loved ones this Christmas season, come see what I have to offer!
